How we got here and where we’re going.
2001: Austin Flyers Women’s Cycling founded as a women’s road racing team.
2002: Became a co-ed club, Austin Flyers, with a focus on recreational riding, skills clinics and community activities.
2006: Added a women’s road racing team – named Team Joy Rides for one season, then back to Austin Flyers in 2007 – which scored impressive team and individual wins in Texas and throughout the US.
2010: With a growing 20-member women’s race team and many more women coming out for weekly rides, Austin Flyers Women’s Cycling was officially launched in its current incarnation, as both a race team and a club offering a supportive environment to encourage all women riders to become better, more confident riders.
2011: Winner, Texas Cup All-Around Team of the Year, and All-Around Team Women.
2012: Membership tops 100, we host multiple weekly rides and racing skills clinics, monthly Ladies Nights at the Driveway, monthly indoor training sessions, super-hot kits and a great bunch of riders.
2016: The club continues to grow! We’ll be launching new ways to ride together. New ways to to connect between rides. New ways to support our community. And our sponsors continue to amaze us with their support!2016 Registration
